Sacked Blackcaps captain Ross Taylor is to end his self-imposed exile and return for the cricket series against England. New Zealand's best batsman since Stephen Fleming will make a huge difference in the test series, and solidify the top of the order. Brendan McCullen came into NZ cricket as a wicket-keeper batsman, who batted in the lower order. He is no longer a wicket-keeper and is not consistent at the top of the order. He cannot offer any other specialist skills. Can he really justify his selection in test cricket? He is a brilliant T20 batsman, however. His brother Nathan is an off-spin bowler who can bat a bit. NZ still misses the skills of Daniel Vettori  and Jesse Ryder.
