Hutt Valley only interested in an amalgamated Hutt Valley, not a super-city...

Hutt Valley says no to being part of a Wellington Super-city! It is only interested in an amalgamation of Upper and Lower Hutt cities. And there is no law that can force them to be part of an enlarged Wellington City. And it appears that Wairarapa is interested only in a United Wairarapa.

If Wellington City, Porirua City, Kapiti District and The Greater Wellington Regional council want to amalgamate - go ahead! Wellington City councillors don't know what their paid officials are doing anyway.
